But is there a way to automatically have objects with history get a different color, and have them lose that color when their history gets deleted?
(I’m having Alias withdrawals right now, so that’s why I’m asking.) 
If you run SelObjectsWithHistory command, they will be highlighted.
So I guess what I need is a script that runs in the background, and after every completed command runs SelObjectsWithHistory and sets a different color on them, but also keeps a list of the last objects that had history so it can compare and remove the color from any objects that lost its history…
Sounds like a rough workaround.
