Hi friends,
In my opinion,Clipping closed polysurface outputs surface(s) while Clipping open polysurface outputs curve(s).Isn’t it?
See picture above,one polyfurface is clipped but the result included surface.Is this normal?If so,how to avoid this?I hope the outputs are curves.Thanks for any hint.

Thanks.But these info could not solve the problem.
Clip one solid,you get surface;Clip one surface,you get curve.I think only this logic make sense.
But now I clip one open polysurface,Rhino output surface on condition of that the output curve is closed. This confuse me.

You can turn that off in the section style:
→ Uncheck the “Section open objects” option.
