I noticed that the Discrete GPU of my PC is under-utilized when launching a Climate Studio Grasshopper simulation. Any idea ? I have selected high performance for Rhino 8.

To get stats on the GPU usage, Task Manager has to “poll” the GPU usage periodically. This many not work for the way CS does computations.

In addition to Dale’s point, sorry if I’m teaching granny to suck eggs but are you aware that in Task Manager you need to look at the compute graphs for your gpu to see how it is being used for calculation, rather than the headline utilization number?
(a bad example in that my nvidia card wasn’t being utilized when I took the screenshot!)
If you don’t see these graphs in task manager, you can drop down another graph title and change it to compute.

Okay, SOLEMMA LLC (climate studio owner) just told me that raytrace is cpu bound,GPU use is limited to very specific things…Bummer
