Circle packing a sphere using multiple

Hello, I started with a frame and created this SubD object using ‘multipipe’.

Now… I would like to be able to alter the sizes of the circles, similar to this photo… Does anyone have a good tutorial for this?

Packing circles: why gh pick the wrong offset side for some circles?
