Choosing a laptop

I’m looking for a new mobile workstation(or preowned) for using Rhino, Autocad, Revit, Vray, Lightroom and Photoshop. The price limit is 2500 USD(I’m located in Norway).

There seems to be some debate as to if one should invest in a workstation with the expensive Quadro-cards.

I look for the following

  • CPU - i7 quad -core as fast as you can afford
  • RAM - 8 GB minimum, 16 GB if you render a lot
  • Video - nVidia workstation OpenGL card, Quadro K- line
  • Drive - I prefer a SSD for faster working, opening, and saving. (Approx 10x over HD)
