Change texture color without reducing original bitmap visibility?

I wonder if there is a way to change the color without reducing the bitmap visibility, as in how Sketchup does? That way, the pattern / image of the bitmap stays as is, just changing the color of it.

Maybe ‘Hue shift’ under texture settings?

Thank you. I should have mentioned that I was hoping for something more visual than Hue Shift because it was a bit unintuitive to use it to change colors.

Hi @l11 ,

I agree, a “colorize” setting would be more intuitive than a hue shift. I filed this request a long time ago as https://mcneel.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issue/RH-40764 and will add your vote to the wish. Thanks.

Thank you. Thought this wouldn’t be too difficult since there’s already a color wheel in the material palette.
Any chance this could be added in Rhino 8?

I wanted to vote on the “colorize setting” issue in the YouTrack list, but I’m unable to create a YouTrack account to do so. I get the following error:

“OAuth 2.0 Error – External authentication was successful, but automatic user creation is disabled. Cannot create new Hub user.”

I tried to find a “Create Account” button but haven’t been successful.

So Upvote on this, please. One of the things that is holding rhino down is the texturing system. Every time I have to add and manage textures on a project is such a pain.

I’ve added your vote.
