Can't unroll polysurface

It says “There was an error unrolling at least one surface in that polysurface.” unrolling polysrf originates from the top curve it was extruded downwards from.

Select all and run unrollsrf command.

That a pretty nasty surface. If you explode it and unroll separately, you will see which one has the problem.

On the one that did work, I see this:

And, the result is very bizarre.

When I went to check the file tolerances I got this:

Repeatedly… That looks like a bug. @Gijs ? Setting it to 0.011 stops the popup.

Then trying it again on just the problem surface I got this:

However, the Area command does work.

On the curve that generated the surface, it has 5 segments that are smaller than 0.001 length, the file tolerance is 0.0001. That should be OK, but if you check, one is 0.0007, one is 0.0005, one is 0.0004, one is 0.0002 and one is 0.0001. That’s way too close to the file tolerance.

Edit:
I rebuilt the curve that generated the surfaces - which has almost 2000 control points - to within 0.001 tolerance - the result had still 577 control points but after re-extruding, it unrolled without any problem.

Yes, seeing that here as well.
RH-78037 File angle tolerance set to 0.01 still gives a popup warning

Ouch, this happens even with my custom template file, which has an 0.01 angle tolerance setting as well. Wait, even if I reset the template file to 0.1 angle tolerance, I get the same message every time I open DocProperties… Ah, wait again, now it’s LAYOUT tolerance it’s now flagging… Set those both to 0.011 and the message is gone…

thanks, I’ll add that to the YT
