Can't see .hdr thumbnails in windows 11

I’ve tried all the normal tricks to no avail. The hdr’s I’ve downloaded into a folder in documents appear as if they’re associated with adobe and their properties say so too. It’s very annoying not being able to see thumbnails when you want to select a lighting scheme.

Is there a way to disassociate a file from an application?

Same problem as me. The exr files are seen. The previews of the hdr images no.

I verified that my other machine, running Windows 10, does not suffer this problem. UGH. I didn’t mean to upgrade to Windows 10, but rolling back is not straightforward. There might be a plug-in in the future, or a Windows upgrade to deal with this. However, until then, I’m stuck using Adobe Bridge as a viewer for my .HDR’s.
