Can't edit or create new aliases

Hi,
I recently updated to Version 7 SR17 and now I can’t create new aliases or edit current ones. I’m not running more than one instance. Until I updated, I’d never experienced this issue.
???

No idea.
Maybe reboot?

How do you mean you can’t edit them? What happens when you try?

When I create an alias or edit an existing one and then close the options window, the new alias or edited alias is not saved.
I’ve rebooted.

That’s really bizarre.
Please run the Rhino SystemInfo command so we can see the resources Rhino is seeing.
Maybe something will stick out.

Thanks

Sounds like maybe the Settings file is no being written - @thosmurray if this file exists,

“C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\7.0\settings\settings-Scheme__Default.xml”

with Rhno closed, rename that file (Scheme__Default_OLD.xml or something) , start Rhino and make your changes - any different?

I tried Pascal’s suggestion, but it’s still not working.
I forgot about something…
Soon after I installed Rhino 7 I noticed that it installed into the Rhino WIP folder. Probably user error, but I never tried reinstalling it and eventually forgot about it. I wonder if that’s throwing a wrench into the works?
