Cannot trim or project onto a surface

I created a boat hull surface using edge curves, surface is what I want but I cannot trim the surface to put in topside windows or even project a curve onto the surface. I have never had this happen before. Any ideas?

Hello - please post the surface, the input curves and the cutting objects in a Rhino file. My guess is there are stacked control points in the surface but that is a wild guess, please post the geometry if possible.

Hi, If the surface is small there is a chance it does not trim.
Try to scale up the surface to trim and the cutting curve.

For making this process faster, I use in a button in my custom tool bar:

Scale Up
