Version 8.11. Simple straight curve, simplified. Divide or right-click to get Divide curve by number of segments. No split, no group. Mark ends. Done. It doesn’t divide the segment. If you split and then join, you can get around it.

Does that mean that it doesn’t create point objects? If so, that’s not something that I can reproduce here. If this is a file-specific issue, please post the 3dm file.

User error. I went to reproduce it and after some shuffling around, I found I had the option for “Show points” turned off for shaded mode, and apparently they were there and I just wasn’t seeing them - I could swear I toggled the show points on the line and tested several other iterations before posting. Sorry!!!
