Bug: direct editing fail

Direct editing often fails when I’m trying to ‘extend’ the ends of a capped cylindrical surface. For instance, in the attached, if I try to move the face indicated in the direction indicated, it totally screws up the part. I run into this bug so often that I just try to entirely avoid extending cylindrical surfaces using direct modeling.direct editing fails.3dm (831.5 KB)

Hi Peter - yep, I know … trimmed cylinders do not do well with this, among other things. I’ll add your example to the heap.

Ok - thank you.

if you _ShrinkTrimmedSrf prior to dragging the face, it will work ok…
maybe an acceptable workaround for now?
