Boolean Union reshapes polysurfaces

Hello,

I have an issue with the Boolean Union command, in a very basic use of the command.
I am trying to assemble simple boxes with Boolean union, but when I do it, it reshapes my boxes in a very odd way instead :

Has anyone here encountered the same bug ? I have been using rhino for years and it never occured before.

Found the solution if someone has the same issue.
Rhino doesn’t handle well operations on very little objects, so if you scale your model, do the operation, and then rescale it to the previous scale, it should go well.

Thanks for sharing! What a bizarre issue :joy: I encountered similar situation before

@Raph_L - if your objects are that small, you should be modeling at a much tighter tolerance - the faces in the object are the same size, roughly, as the file tolerance - .01 units. That will never work well, set tolerance at at least 10x smaller than the smallest ‘feature’.

.001 here. Or smaller still, depending on what happens next.
