I understand that rewriting the whole Block tool would be a lot of work. I was just wondering whether there might be a less “expensive” solution that would allow us to navigate through nested blocks by double-clicking. Even just double-clicking would already have a big impact on workflows.
To give you a bit more context, for example, I have nested blocks where the objects inside the block are placed directly next to an object that is not part of the block. If I want to make changes in relation to that object, I have to quickly enter the nested block. This becomes quite a hassle, especially when you have to make many changes in a short period of time or deal with several similar situations one after another. This is just one example, and of course it becomes even more difficult when you have many blocks or multiple blocks with the same name nested. The solution is usually a workaround, for example copying the nested blocks out of the parent block into the same position, making the changes there, deleting them again, and so on.
I personally can’t provide any up-to-date feedback on the Block Edit New plugin because I deleted it after experiencing problems with it in V-ARQ. After a quick search, I found this:
