Hello everyone, since I cannot quite transfer with perfection objects from rhino to revit, I am switching to archicad to see if gets better and I would like to know what are the best ways to exchange data between rhino and archicad.
anyone??
You can open Rhino .3dm files directly in Archicad (Rhino 7 needs AC 25).
They will, however, be their own type of geometry, which cannot be edited, but you can convert them to morphs to do so.
Don’t forget: Archicad does not have NURBS - polymeshes only. So your Rhino geometry will be converted to meshes.
You can also try the Archicad - Grasshopper connection, a freeware add-on from Graphisoft. Works pretty decently, for what it does. It should be able to convert Rhino geometry to morphs directly.
If you happen to have VisualArq, you could use the IFC format to transfer building parts over. Has the advantage that a wall remains a wall etc. There are many shortcomings, however.
