Annotation Style presets

Hi All,

I ussally work in millimeters, and sometimes I have clients that use inches.
So I created my custom annotation style that shows dimensions in both units.
I understand that you can create your custom styles and import them from other files.

My issue today was that I wanted to find other presets that I understand that may come with Rhino. Thinking about where these other presets may be, I realized that they should be inside the 3dm templates that are shown when you start Rhino. Fortunately I found what I wanted.

The question is, don’t you think that we should have an option ot import some presets that come with Rhino, like the linetypes easily?

Hi Joaquin -
When you start a new document from a default template, the presets that were deemed best for the template of your choice are in that new document.

When you add a new annotation style, you get a dialog where all the presets are available:

Additionally, and as you noted yourself, there is the option to import annotation styles from other 3dm files.

Given all of those options, how do you find that linetypes are more easily imported?

Thanks Win! it was much easier that what I thought… just pressing New was the solution, may be if it said add template would be more clear for me.

Hi Joaquín -

But that doesn’t add a template, so that would be wrong. A template includes a lot more than just annotation styles.

You are right, maybe I need to sleep a little more…
I meant add preset, or new from preset.
