After recent update Rhino WIP now instantly crashes

After Rhino WIP updated it is now crashing instantly.

Below is the RhinoDotNetCrash.txt contents.

[ERROR] FATAL UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: Eto.Wpf.Forms.Controls.WebView2InitializationException: Failed to initialze WebView2 ---> System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: The requested resource is in use. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800700AA)

I noticed these in the crash log:

D:\BuildAgent\work\dujour\src4\DotNetSDK\Eto\src\Eto.Wpf\Forms\Controls\WebView2Handler.cs
D:\BuildAgent\work\dujour\src4\DotNetSDK\Eto\src\Eto.Wpf\Forms\Controls\WebView2Handler.cs

Is this the problem? Maybe WebView2 or absolute file path related?

I believe this is already known and being addressed. Not sure what the ETA is.

Just experienced this. Brand new computer with Windows 11, V7 opens fine (so far), but the current WIP just opens for a second or two then crashes to the desktop.

Interesting, I get a dotnet crash file on my desktop just after the crash and then it disappears as soon as I close the dialog box - I guess that’s normal?

content looks just like the above.

Hey Mitch -

Yes, that is by design.
As for the crash, that was recently fixed and 8.0.21329.1630 or later should work fine.
Thanks,
-wim

Doesn’t seem available to download just yet… I have 21327.16305 which is what I got from the main download site today.

It has been Thanksgiving holidays. If not at the begin of this week a new weekly build then probably just the regular Tuesday release will happen.

Sorry, Mitch, I didn’t mean to imply that. I assumed you were familiar with the numbering system. 21329 is year 2021, day 329, which is November 25th and you have 327, which is Tuesday, November 23rd. As always, public releases are on Tuesdays.

Here’s a link to our daily build of V8. We should be releasing a new V8 WIP tomorrow as well.

https://files.mcneel.com/dujour/exe/20211129/rhino_en-us_8.0.21333.12305.exe

The latest WIP released Tuesday seems to have fixed the crash problem here at least.
