3d pdf export from Simlab plugin

Hi guys!

Does anyone use 3d-pdf exporter from simlab? I’m having trouble exporting materials and textures together with the geometry. I’ve contacted their support and they’ve been of little or no help. They’ve just directed me to download the latest update but after reinstall the license isn’t working. I have rhino7 and rhino8 installed on two different machines.

Can you suggest any alternatives for exporting 3d.pdfs?

Hello All,

I am having a similar issue with 3D PDF. I was wondering Andres, if you were able to get any solution on generating 3D PDFs. Also, would really appreciate, if any fellow Rhino -GH-developer have tried a workflow

Hi Abhi!

Unfortunately I didn’t get any help from them. I’ve tried multiple methods including uninstalling and reinstalling rhino and corresponding plugin on two different devices trying out both rhino 7 and rhino 8. That’s when I was prompted that my activation key had been already activated 2 times and they refused to renew the key. I don’t even remember if I asked them for refund or not. I was just so tired and disappointed both with the plugin and with customer service.

I’m not familiar with the any alternatives for 3dPDF exports.

I could use a simple method for exporting a 3D pdf as well. I’ll upgrade both our seats from R7 if they ever add it to native Rhino.
