I’m having some issues with converting my .3dm Rhino files to .dxf.
After converting the file, and I open the .dxf in my postprocessor the drawing loses it’s acuracy and adds extra points to the drawing.
Also, when I got a circle in my .3dm file and convert it to dxf the circle get converted to several hundres of small polylines.
I’m using the .dxf on a CNC mill and when the circles are convtered to polylines the mill cant read the holes because it does not have a center.
Yes. It’s all in your DXF export options. From what you are describing above, you are using something like R12 lines or 2004 lines as an export scheme. Try using Default or 2004 Natural instead. Circles and arcs should remain circles and arcs.
Thank you for the fast response.
Sounds like you got the right solution to my problem.
The only issue now is that I’m not entirely sure what an export scheme is and where I find it ?
When I type exportoption in RHINO it opens an menu to save an .ini file.
Would have been nice with a menu with the option to pick another export scheme.
Am I supposed to find an export scheme online and load it somehow ?
Med venlig hilsen

Maybe when you reply by e-mail you can eliminate the rest of the message, signature, images etc… Make it easier to read the post.
When you export as DXF, you should get the options dialog at the time of export. It will propose the current active export scheme and you can choose a different one or edit the existing ones.
If oyu don’t see that dialog come up, there may be a problem… Also, there is the possibility to punch the “Options” button in the Export file browse dialog, which should bring up the same thing.
Thank you for the advice. It Works like a charm.
Sorry about the images. I will keep in mind to erase them before shipping my mail.
