Wish? Display settings: Intersections of semi-transparent Curves

I’m experimenting with the drawing possibilities of Crayon and Sketch commands and I stumbled upon this issue.

We can encounter 2 or 3 intersection scenarios:

  • Curve self-intersecting
  • Multiple curves (apparent and real) intersections

I wonder if it is possible to incorporate two settings for how Curves are rendered.

  1. Self-intersecting semi-transparent curve is not multiplying its color in the intersection areas.
  2. Multiple curves that have identical display colors and intersect themselves in the view do not multiply their colors.

Just for the sake of example: In Photoshop there is an Opacity setting for the Brush, as I draw one self-intersecting stroke overlapping parts are not visible, multiplied. However, intersections of separate strokes are overlapping and are visible.

Desired appearance

For the illustration purposes to achieve this look, at least in the 2D views, I can offset each curve both sides, region union results and make hatches, but this is rather a heavy-handed workaround.
