There should be possibility of canceling the update of a linked block.
At the moment, after update is clicked there is no way of cancelling the procedure if there is a block name conflict. you may assume that clicking the cross in the Block name conflict dialog box is going to cancel, but it does not.
All you can do is to go through the whole update and immediately undo to avoid that the name conflict renaming takes effect.
