I have installed Rhino 8 on a new PC laptop. I am able to open the VRay asset editor but when I click on Interactive Render nothing happens. I’ve also tried in Rhino 7 and I’m having the same issue.

First thing to do is update your Nvidia display driver, as yours is from last year, well before Rhino 8 was released.
Actually it’s the Intel driver that’s from last year. The Nvidia driver reports it’s from yesterday.
Did you just recently install the Nvidia card?

Isn’t the latest driver 552.22?
Recommended driver for VRay is 551.86 - and my personal experience is its best to stick with it and dont upgrade further, i had problems with vray once installing the newest drivers.
That is a GeForce driver for use with RTX gaming GPUs. The OP has a mobile workstation/datacentre class enterprise GPU.
It’s a brand new computer. Just got it yesterday
Downgraded to 551.86 and restarted. Still having the same issue.
One more thought. This may be crazy, but I was using Rhino/VRay on a Mac (in Parallels) until I started having this exact issue on there. Purchased the PC yesterday so I can continue working on a project. Used iCloud for Windows to transfer files over. Having same issue as I was having in VRay on the Mac. Before I wipe this computer, does anyone have any idea if this could’ve been brought over somehow via iCloud?
I think this is a license issue. When the license is not found rendering will not start. See if running the license manager that brings you the Chaos site gives you some info and otherwise contact chaos support.
My bad. Next time I’ll try using both eyes.
