I am try to make a tool to help me create metal sheet folding.
But I dont understand the topology of a brep when I unjoin edges.
The unroll command seems to deal with unjoined edges as seams, the way
But when I use OffsetSurface, it is acting in a odd manner.
And when I move a naked edge, it is moving the overlapped edge too.
Like the vertices were still welded. But if I try to unjoin 4 edges of a face it
is automatically detached…
Anyone can explain to me where I misunderstand the topology of rhino nurbs ?
I wish I can get to something like this with OffsetSurface (without the large gaps):
