Hello,
Is it possible to turn of dimension history? I’m finding that when I fillet an edge or move a hatch, for instance, my dimension strings will move and connect to something else, I assume attempting to keep connected to what it was dimensioning. Since it doesn’t move correctly, this is causing a lot of work going back to try to spot which ones are messed up, and then having to fix them.
I attached a file. If, for instance, you trim everything to the right of the black line, you will see one of the dimension lines snaps to a different point. It’s not even a nearby dimension, but possibly is because of the hatch that is being trimmed? Example-Dimension-History-Issue.3dm (199.8 KB)
Thanks for that file!
Yes, it looks like there is something going on with trimming hatches.
I’ve put this issue on the list as RH-69891 History: Trimming hatch breaks dim history
In the meanwhile, if you want to keep history on dimension, avoid snapping to hatches when you create them.
