Total Beginner Grashopper Question related to exporting

I am trying to design a lid for a box. The box went well, nicely parameterized. But I am stumbled with the lid, as it is more complex. So i am redoing my script, to “debug it” a step at a time. In the very first step (attached), i just try to create a rectangular wall. This renders just fine in Rhino, as a nice red wall. But when i export this as an STL, it’s a solid slap (attached as well).

It does not matter what the output format is (tried stp and obj as well), it’s always a slap.

As i said, i am beginning with Rhino & Grasshopper, and I am sure i must be missing something very basic here.

Thanks for all input/help.

Does your answer imply that i should use that plugin to export STL instead of Rhino? I don’t mind using a plugin, but why would that work better? Is the rhino export buggy? I will try the plugin tomorrow, tonight I am no longer in play mode

I get this when I bake the Extrude output:

Baking the output of the SUnion produces the same thing.

Note that my system is Windows, and my slicer is Orca, which I find produces better results than Prusa.

I don’t understand why your results should be different. Everything in your GH file looks A-OK.
