Text Entity Invalid in Rhino 8 SR10 Release Candidate 1 for Windows

Hi, any text entity appears as invalid and I am also unable to extract text from it. I just updated to Rhino 8 SR10 Release Candidate 1 for Windows the other day, is that the cause?

I reverted back to the normal service release and its working as intended. I guess the candidate release is bugged then.
