Anyone else having issues?
Hi Simon - which version were you running and which version are you running now?
Please run the Rhino SystemInfo

Any ideas? Upating GPU driver didnt do anything
I would like to reinstall rhino, what configuration files do I need to back up beforehand?
Don’t bother reinstalling Rhino yet. It looks like your video card driver is 2 years old, that would be the place to look first.
I’ve been running Rhino just fine with this driver until last week.
Now that I’ve updated the GPU driver there still is terrible lag in Rhino. I feel like it’s getting worse too…
What’s “lagging” exactly?
Just overall really bad preformance.
No matter what I try to do, I need to wait a second or 2 before Rhino responds.
For example I click a line to select it, normally that should be instantly. Now it takes 1 or 2 seconds before the action is completed
Hi Simon - are you using a Space Mouse or other 3dConnexion device by chance?
Also, is the BoxEdit panel open?
-Pascal
No space mouse or anything like that.
I do have a steelseries “gaming” mouse and keyboard with some macros though
I clicked the latest update file in C:\ProgramData\McNeel\McNeelUpdate\DownloadCache and chose ‘repair’. That didnt help either.
Could someone take a look at the file below to see if there’s anything out of the ordinary? (For example if i try to add a new text element, try to change to font in the text window, I need to wait 15-20seconds before the dropdown menu with all the fonts appears!)
Otherwise I think I 'll try to reinstall Rhino completely, would that be a good idea? Someone please advise which configuration files I should backup beforehand?

Now I’ve tried uninstalling Rhino 6 completely and then reinstalled it. Still same problem.
I really need some advice here! I have barely been able to use Rhino for over 2 days now…!
Did Windows install any updates recently? Do you have slowdowns in anything else? What does Task Manager show for cpu and memory utilization? Last time I had weird sluggishness it was due to Acronis’ active anti virus/spyware.
I haven’t noticed any other programs slowing down. I seems to be only Rhino. My CAM software, which I think is more demanding than Rhino, is working as usual.
CPU usage in idle is around 1-3%, when I start an empty Rhino document usage stays around 20% (which I think is high for just an empty file?)
Memory usage is not being bottlenecked.
Regards,
Simon.
Hi Simon - just to be sure: do you work with the BoxEdit panel open?
-Pascal
What is the problem with that?(asking for a friend)
See:
-wim
Yes I do! And that seemed to have fixed the problem!
I use BoxEdit all the time. I hope it gets fixed soon.
(And now I also notice you already mentioned this in your previous reply but I completely missed it then)
Thanks everyone for helping me out!
Is there anywhere I can follow the status of this bug?
I’d like to be informed somehow when it has been resolved since I really like to work with the boxedit panel open.
