thanks @DanielPiker i was wondering about those “seams” which in that case are called grain boundary, i was hypothesizing if it had anything to do with the surrounding boundaries of the container. but in that case they are just mere stacking results which start at different angles. i would have not thought that stacking spheres which are round can have further complexities.
