Has someone used Karamba 3d to analyze solids by discretizing them into a tridimensional lattice and analyzing it as a beam system? Would such analysis be of any use for design purposes?
I’d appreciate any help.
Best regards,
Jorge.

You might want to also look at Scan-and-Solve, which does structural simulation of solids:
Hello @jorge.christie,
you could use a lattice of e.g. truss members for shape optimization. With a reasonably regular grid and some basic formulas of strength of materials one could even get out realistic stresses.
For other types of application scan-and-solve is propably a good tool to use.
