I’d like to sell a license for Rhino V5, but: Is it legal to sell a license for Rhino (here)? Is McNeel transferring licenses, so that the person buying is officially the licensee? Is transfering licenses free or is there a fee?

I’ve been pondering buying an older license. I just bought a tablet: Gen 7 i5, 8 gig of ram… and kind of want to put an older version on it. R5/6 could almost become Rhino LT?

If you just bought it and are not happy with it you can return it for a refund.

You can still return the upgrade if you uninstall it. Check with where you bought it.

Or do you want to sell both the V7 and V8 upgrade licences?

I was never able to download a legacy key for Rhino 5 (Windows) using my Rhino 7 (Windows) license key. :slight_smile: At least on my internet browser the page only offers a legacy key for Rhino 6. [Rhino legacy key]

It was not possible even before your earlier post. But anyway, I just wanted to point out that, because your screen-shot suggest that it was possible to retrieve a legacy key for Rhino 5 back in August 2023, whereas my browser never showed that option for some reason. :slight_smile:
