Rhino method to get this F360 feature?

In this video, I’m trying to do something like this gap feature. Starts at 10:39 with the important bit happening at 11:45. In fusion it appears that you can just enter a negative number and the correct curved gap is created. What I did in Rhino was:

Offset Surface> Flipped to the other side> then Boolean Difference.

I’m just wondering if there are other quicker methods. The F360 is pretty quick.

Instead of offset the surface you could also have a cylinder in the axis of the hinge which is slightly oversized.
