Leave my Intel CPU out of it. It gets slaughtered by bella regularly, so no high voltages here. Just boot it up straight into rendering.

I am reasonably indifferent to the pair of them as manufacturers. They both have histories of selling terrible products; and so the cycle continues… I think what I’ve always preferred is that competition is good.
I quite fancy a more workstation CPU for rendering, but both Threadrippers (7970X…, etc) and news Xeon 6 will be out of reach for the moment. There are some good deals used, but it is always buyer beware I guess.
Fortunately for me, my 13700K seems unaffected at all for the moment, and I am happy with how it performs. Maybe it dies, maybe it won’t.

One could argue trikcode is part of us, considering that the user mentioned Rhino and probably lamented the memory usage or some such - I didn’t navigate to dead Twitter.
