I’m using Grasshopper for my Master thesis. I’m studying a space frame structure which is parametrically built through a GhPyth component and then transformed into a Karamba3D model.
Initially, i did a single-objective optimization with a simplified model (only roof with vertical loadings) to minimize the mass of the structure (i’ll attach it to the post). Until that moment everything was working.
I’m now working on a real case study (industrial building) with glulam columns and also lateral loads (wind considering a single combination from standards). The problem consists in a multi-objective optimization: the first objective function is set as before (mass minimization) while the second one is similar but aiming to minimize environemntal impacts. With this new script, Rhino crashes after evaluating few individuals. I tried also to optimize them separately, disabling one objective function at a time, but it crashes anyway.
I hope you can advise me on a solution!!
