There are clear differences in the display modes that you are using in Rhino 8 and Rhino 9. That alone will lead to different results. If you want to compare, you will need to ensure that display modes and viewport sizes are exactly the same.

I would say that the only difference is maybe the sun/enviroment position and the fact that I have my lines in 1. Both are in shaded mode. I understand that maybe this is like 85% similar, but there is a clear difference in performance.
OK - so that kind of bears out the 2x (although it’s not quite that here) for opening the file. I am testing switching the active model here and it seems fairly clean (similar to Rhino 8).
Is there some way I can get my hands on the models/rws file that you are testing with @davouch ?
I am afraid not. Firstly, there are plenty of dependencies across many directories, it would take quite some extensive effort to gather it all into a workable pack and adapt the worksession accordingly (lack of capacity on my side now), secondly some references are licenced quite specifically (I would have to check if there are no issues handing those over, also a bit of a hassle regarding my current state of affairs…).
