Rhino 8 UI Buggy, Lagging, and Crashes program

Hi Mcneel Support,

I’ve been using rhino 8 fine for the past few months, and only after coming back away from work I cannot use the program. Everytime I launch the program, i am able to rotate the viewport, type a command, drop a box, however the ui is extremely laggy. I hover over a layer and it does not highlight it. if i try to maximize it, the whole file crashes with no log. The worst case is trying to open it in safe mode which it does not even try to be stable, instant crash and close. below is my system info. Please help, i have fairly new hardware, and latest nvidia studio drivers.

I would try reinstalling your GPU drivers. When you do make sure you select the clean installation option through custom installation.

Windows updates are known to mess with GPU drivers.

thank you jesterking, I am also a big fan of your import to blender plugin for rhino thank you for that.

I ended up messing around a bit more and got my ui to return to normal, the only thing was possibly causing this issue was other programs running in my app tray. a friend of mine thought possibly an app was doing an overlay causing some ui issues. it has since been resolved after closing most items. the only odd part is i am unable recreate this issue now, even though it was presistent for the last 6 hours

Indeed such apps with overlays also can cause this type of issue. Good that it got resolved!

And I am glad to hear that you like my importer!
