Printing Error

Hello,

I have suddenly run into a problem where I cannot send files to my printer. If I send something to print I will get “Error - Printing” in the status column of the print queue. I wasn’t able to find a previous discussion relating to this. So far…

-The printer is a HP Color LAserJet Pro M478f-9f
-I am able to print from other software such as Chrome and Excel.
-I moved to another computer and am able to print from other software but get the same error when printing from Rhino.
-I have attempted to print several different files.

I’m including my system specs below.

I’ve had some problems in the last 6 months due to print drivers changed by Windows update (the producer driver was replaced by windows standard one).
My solution was to reassign manufacturer drivers to the printers and all the problems disappeared.
Don’t know if it can solve your problem but give it a try.

@joshua.demonte
I confirm that the error are related to drivers modified by windows update.
Yesterday evening another PC in my office had problems when sending prints to our kyocera taskalfa.
The original driver was replaced by “Microsoft IPP class Driver” and all the documents in the print queue where stopped due to errors.
I reinstalled last drivers from kyocera and all was fixed.

Update your drivers
Outdated drivers have always caused problems as all software and hardware are optimized for the latest driver versions. Windows rarely updates each driver you have individually, so you may have to fix the problem yourself.

Instead of searching for each driver manually, you can use automated tools for this process. It’s much faster and more secure because it uses its own driver database from which it installs updates. Afterward, the Windows 11 USB printer not detected issue will be fixed.

Most of the time, the generic drivers for your PC’s hardware and peripherals are not properly updated by the system. There are key differences between a generic driver and a manufacturer’s driver.
Searching for the right driver version for each of your hardware components can become tedious. That’s why an automated assistant can help you find and update your system with the correct drivers every time, and we strongly recommend DriverFix. Here’s how to do it:

Download and install DriverFix.
Launch the software.
Wait for the detection of all your faulty drivers.
DriverFix will now show you all the drivers that have issues, and you just need to select the ones you’d liked fixed.
Wait for the app to download and install the newest drivers.
Restart your PC for the changes to take effect.
