I have 2 curves as below
Then run TweenCurve command, they will create these curves:
I just try to understand How Rhino build it? just basic knowledge, no need too deep mathematic.

Basically it works by sampling the two curves at a number of corresponding points, then interpolating the point sets with the number of divisions (tween curves) wanted. Then each set of sample points at the same level are connected with an interpolated curve.
