Polycurve + extrude = one surface?

Hi,

If I extrude polycurve (line + curvature blended curve + line), I will get just one surface… why?

If a polycurve has 3 curve segments, the extrude should have 3 surfaces also, I think. Is this something that has changed since Rhino 6 or Am I just missing a setting?

Hi Jari - if the output is extrusion objects (UseExtrusions comnmand) then the result should be a 3-part extrusion, if set to make surface/polysurfaces, you get a single surface from joined G2 curves. As far as I can see so far this is not different from V6.

For me the UseExtrusion command is relatively new, so maybe I remembering something wrong then. I have mostly used the default setting (Extrusion) instead of “Polysurface” and maybe haven’t noticed this behavior before when extruding polycurves.

So UseExtrusion = Extrusion is what I’m after, I think.
