PC Build Feedback

My Macbook’s just not cutting it anymore, time for a PC build. More computer savvy friends helped me put this list together, thoughts?

Gigabyte B850M AORUS ELITE WIFI6E ICE Micro ATX AM5 Motherboard
AMD Ryzen 7 8700G 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor
ASUS NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060
G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-5600 CL36 Memory
MSI MAG A850GL PCIE5 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
Western Digital WD_Black SN850X 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME SSD

Budget $1500. Primarily for hobby/side hustle jewelry design and rendering at small mm scale. secondary for hobby 3d minis (d&d/warhammer). I’d rather be overpowered than under.

So probably not huge projects… you’ll have hard time stress that modern hardware anyway.

You plan to buy a dedicated graphic card, the 4060, and the Ryzen 7 8700G is a cpu with an integrated graphic card inside, that’s useless. Do you have a reason for that?

If you buy a Ryzen 9600X (6-core) you’ll have a faster CPU for the same price.
But note that the 8700G is “boxed” , is sold together with a cooler.
Instead, the 9600X will require you to buy a cooler.
Any compatible random cooler will do… (65 watt cpu)

EDIT: even a 7600X is faster, and it is boxed too.
If I were you I would buy a 9700X. (8-core not boxed)

Better cpu the longer it will last
