Panelisation of a curved surface

Hi all,

I’m trying to create a series of panels that flow along a curved surface, however I’m having issues with creating the desired effect and would like some advice.

I have created several panels lifted in one corner as a block just as a test, along with a pattern I’ve created in autocad with the right orientation of the patterns.

I however am not sure how to transfer these panels over to the curved surface, to create this effect without forming huge gaps. Is there a better method of creating these panels on the curved surface?

Use UnrollSrfUV, Squish or Smash to flatten the curved surface.
Create the panels on the flattened surface.
FlowAlongSrf to flow the panels from the flattened surface onto the curved surface.
