Orca 3D Waterplane Draft Keel

Good day

May I inquire more on how Orca derive its waterplane draft? This is because we have a set hull and fixed load conditions on weight, LCG and TCG.

Vessel has a forward trim but the Twp values did not reflect this; and was constant. Also where do these values come from?

Hi Dominnic,

You can define the longitudinal positions of forward and aft perpendiculars either by:

  • pulldown menu >Orca3D>Adv Stability>Subdivision>Design/Components>Edit Frames
  • command “_OrcaFrameSystem”
  • via the Orca3D side panel:
