Mesh Ray Intersection functioning unexpectedly

Hi, I am testing for view obstruction to a given surface from a certain point.
But it seems that mesh ray intersection is not giving me expected results results.
Some of the rays clearly do not intersect with the mesh, but it is turning up with 100% hits.
Does it have to do with how the mesh is created?
Any tips would be appreciated.

The direction of the rays should converge at a single point.
