oh, its a component part of gh1.0/rh6; can be replaced by normal split brep.
Its late here and my englisch get too lazy as well
depends on c# yes, that was intended
I envy you!!!
I have just recently started very shyly to code!
But since It is the very beggining for me, I cannot ‘see’ your code…
how do you define the Inpoints?
(bear in mind that they should not be found arbitrarilly, each one should be at the bisector of the angle defined by the two points with the same distance from the kink, on each path) better explained in the image bellow:
also: is your code far from being able to tapper the ‘sweep’ throughout the intersections?
As far as the historic part goes: I only showed those images to express the concept. As I said to Peter as well, it is not my intention to build a baroque chapel. I just want to understand the nature of these forms.
It is not that want to design deterministically but many times, what is pleasing to the eye, expresses a deeper ‘rule’ that we don’t fully understand but we approach by instinct.
(to give you a simplistic example, a marble sphere is more beautiful than a potato -for me at least- You don’t have to know that a sphere is the geometric place of points with the same distance from a given center to like it. But you do have to know it in order to construct it)
Anyway, I could go on for hours about why I am searching this -and I would gladly discuss it-
but the goal for now is this: Create a ‘tapper-able’ sweep along a kinky path. (also the ultimate goal is to make it along a double curvature-kinky path, but one step at a time)
In any case, thanks for taking the time -despite your laziness - to work on it!
Ouf!!!
After a lot of tears I think I have a stable enough component.
It only works for planar paths but in the end you can just use surface morph…
Thanks a lot guys!!! It’s going to be very useful in my work and I wouldn’t be able to do it without your help!
