Multipipe bug or limitation.gh (31.9 KB)
I am trying to understand why this happens.
Does the Multipipe component have a limitation on the complexity of the structure of the line? If yes, what is the limitation?
Or is this a known bug?
It looks like there is a tolerance related bug here, thanks for finding it, I’ll try and sort it out. This issue doesn’t occur if you scale the geometry by 0.01 though, so we can use this as a workaround for now.
I also notice that generating the curves as in your definition creates some lines much closer together than the radius of the pipes.
If you want a grid on the surface, I would instead use something like this to get a clean network of lines: Multipipe_grid.gh (30.4 KB)
Hi @DanielPiker or anyone out there that knows
I have this problem too and @Quan_Li pointed me to this post and also offered a dendro sollution. The problem is, that I a, quite far down the path of my script and dont want to start all over with Dendro.
So I was wondering if you could clarify your workaround above " This issue doesn’t occur if you scale the geometry by 0.01 " ?

Regarding the above. It seems scaling the line size does not work, I am working in a mm template. I tried scaling by .001 and by 1.001 any help please and Thanks you
YAY!!! You made it better!!. Have a
So it looks like it was that tollerance. Hence the scale x 0.001
I think I understand now. Thank you for taking the time , I appreciate it.
Yes, I had a look at it again, you actualy made it so much cleaner. This is great, I feal like a forensic detective, I am busy reverse engineering it now. I see the way you set up the cull patern, I dont think I undestood this before now.
I do really owe you a donut. If you are ever in Vancouver or Cape town please send me a message here, I will have to make good on my promise.
