I have finally upgraded to a new iPhone and I’ve been playing around with the app today.
I also tried the Matterport app and I thought it would be nice if iRhino could export the point cloud too and not just a simplified NURBS model.
This could be really useful for quick visualisations in VR and concept work.
I found this app called LiDAR Scanner in the Apple App Store. Scanning is different compared to iRhino. Red dots illustrate where nothing was recorded, I can walk around and point at a space from different directions. The download format is *.usdz which I was able to convert to *.glb with a python script / library from aspose.3d
