How to design beams which are not connected within the same node?

Dear All,

As a newbie in Karamba, I have few basic questions.

Does line to beam model require to connect the lines ?
for example, I am designing a solar panel mounting structure. In 3D view below you can see a basic model where the blue marked part would be connected with nuts-bolts. In this case, box beam center lines are not connected with in the same node. Will this work if I simulate in karamba ? or do I need to introduce joints?

You can achieve the desired FE-model using eccentricities for your beams, which is available in Karamba.

You can also model the connection as an beam element similar to a coupling or bolt.
