I would love to see Rhino and GH having official MCP servers.
I experimented a lot with MCP Servers for Rhino and Grasshopper. Both are interesting but limited. The Rhino ones work better.
I see the chat interface of the LLM as a more complex interface to the “Rhino-Engine” but still in the tradition of the language/typo/keyboard based input I am used to in Rhino.
I’ve just released a pretty full-featured MCP server for Grasshopper, with limited Rhino functionality (take snapshot of viewport): GitHub - brookstalley/cordyceps
Would love your thoughts and feedback. So far it’s robust for my needs, happy to extend if it’s missing anything.
The bubble grows bigger and bigger… I remember some years ago we made fun of the productivity tools to generate Voronois in under 2 minutes, and nowadays you prompt it into existence in 10seconds. But surprise surprise, there is still nobody out there to pay you for Voronois
….and someone payed definitly a bit of money and some people put in their innovative thoughts and skills to build the “Weiße Haut” indoor acoustic system at Elbphilharmonie Elbphilharmonie Laeiszhalle Hamburg - Elbphilharmonie
This project was a big scam. They estimated 77 millions for the taxpayers and in the end this building cost 866 millions. I think they sold the Voronoi panels for 700 millions. The rest was incompetence. Then the mayor became the German chancellor and destroyed the rest of our economy. This guy was also part of Cum Ex scams… Maybe these MCP plugins were also written by the same intelligence service. When do people understand that Voronois are evil…
That’s the way it always is. They lie about the price because the actual price of something so monumental can’t be swallowed by the public or the politicians that represent them. It was the same thing with the Sydney Opera House. But in the end, at some point far in the future, it will have paid itself and cement itself as a national symbol. Just not for the immediate current taxpayer.
