(Doing some basics stuffs, form videos and others scripts, trying to learn since 2+ years but not enough this)
Interested to learn grasshopper in depth,
Please help me with learning steps, and any better source, which can cover core level of grasshopper. (My need is model creation, mesh processing , (rendering is not prefrence for now))
there are many discussions on this subject on this forum. Search a bit an you will find some resources. But as information is very easy to find nowadays (search engine, AI, you tube) I think the best think is to do projects. Find a project, a question and try to solve it using Grasshopper and when you have a problem search on internet or lastly ask on this forum. I learned by doing my own projects and by answering questions on this forum and old forum.
A great starting place is McNeel’s own learning material, which methodically walks you through the foundational concepts. You don’t need to commit all of this to memory, but it’s easy to form bad habits if you don’t understand the fundamentals, especially when it comes to data structures.
If you’re completely new to GH, then the Getting Started videos will show you how the interface works etc. They’re old but still generally applicable.
If you prefer a less structured way to learn, you could try out some previously-solved problems on this forum. Look for topics with the Solved mark and attempt to solve them yourself. Even if you get hopelessly stuck, you will gain experience by experimenting. Then check how the problem was actually solved and study the solution to see how it works. Maybe take that solution and attempt to extend or modify it.
