GPU integration for handling geometry for faster performance

Recently I came to know that Houdini and Blender use GPU while handling node based modeling. However, Grasshopper uses CPU to do the same.

Does McNeel have plans to integrate GPU for handling geometry in Grasshopper for faster performance?

There are no plans to use OpenSubDiv (the library used to handle mesh stuff on GPU in Blender).

Okay. OpenSubDiv would improve the performance so why not?
