We are hiring at UWE Bristol. The opportunity is a funded PhD project with Dr Lidia Badarnah and Dr Eleonora Nicoletti.
The aim of the project is to investigate responsive design strategies from nature for the development of adaptive and integrated building skins. There will be an introductory online event on 16 June:
You can register for the event at this link:

Even if you couldn’t make it to the online event, there is still time to apply for this funded PhD studentship in biomimetics and computational design.
We are looking for a passionate candidate that is eager to investigate this project at the intersection of domains and explore prototyping opportunities.
The PhD project will focus on investigating solar responsive design strategies from nature for the development of adaptive and integrated building skins. The project will develop new understandings and relations between nature and technological solutions. The candidate will use biomimetic and computational design methods as well as digital fabrication techniques to develop environmentally adaptive and integrated building skins.
